tlinnpic.jpgAs a mom of three, former business owner and executive, educator and 30 year volunteer, it is my pleasure to share with you why I support Steve Blair for Prescott City Council.

He has experience. Steve has served as a thoughtful and focused member of the Prescott City Council for four years. When I attended city council meetings, he asked hard questions that were in the best interest of the citizens of Prescott. I value someone who has the courage to stand up for OUR best interests.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Mr. Steve Blair has been an outstanding asset to the Prescott City Council for the last two terms. As a Prescott native, father, business owner and strong community volunteer/supporter, it is my pleasure to write this letter of endorsement. It is impossible to list in this letter the many things Steve has done for the community since he was born here 51 years ago, therefore, I will share with you my own reasons for endorsing him.

As a mom of three, former business owner and executive, educator and 30 year volunteer, it is my pleasure to share with you why I support Steve Blair for Prescott City Council.

He has experience. Steve has served as a thoughtful and focused member of the Prescott City Council for four years. When I attended city council meetings, he asked hard questions that were in the best interest of the citizens of Prescott. I value someone who has the courage to stand up for OUR best interests.

In addition, Steve served four years on the Prescott Planning and Zoning Commission, including a year as chairman, before seeking a City Council seat. He served on the city's charter-review committee in 1977. As a former Parks and Recreation Department volunteer and employee, Steve is committed to enhancing the city's park system and recreation services. He also devotes energy and time to ensuring the city develops in a quality and balanced fashion and to the implementation of sound water policy.

He IS committed to the community and OUR citizens. I have seen the commitment first hand. Steve donated over 600 loaves of bread so under-privileged children could get a "fresh start" in a back to school drive. He helped support the largest "Packages for Our Troops" drive in Arizona and personally advocated to help a food bank fill their shelves. PLUS, he donates the compensation he receives for being part of the City Council to a different nonprofit every month.

He has a proven track record of caring for the most important issues facing Prescott: water; open space; and illegal immigration. Steve has seen change and wants to manage change to benefit the best interests of the community. I respect a person who is willing to take a stand...even though it may not be a politically correct stand. That takes courage, determination and intelligence.

He is a person who has shown trust and respect to all those who come in contact with him. And, they trust and respect him too.

Please join me in my support of Steve Blair: a person who has the experience to work through the political process to be our voice so that he can actively support the issues most important to all the citizens of Prescott.

In good character,

Tammy Amble Linn
