I also believe that we must make sure that we protect the Verde at all costs so that we preserve the wild river into perpetuity. It is absolutely my mission to be able to do those things and then have a mitigation plan for pumping. For example, one way of mitigating any drawdown to the Verde is to dredge Sulivan Lake and Paulden and take out all the silt. We can then refill that lake as it was back in the early 1900's and use that water for mitigation in case the gauges at the Verde show a deficit. |

Obviously, water is critical for the Prescott and quad-city area and the Prescott basin. Water is our livlihood and water is what we survive by. The mission of the City Council regarding water should be to reach safe yield and come to a regional understanding of how to do that.
